Hey guys, I hope you all had a fun and relaxing Independence Day weekend! Speaking of Independence, guess who is free? Casey Anthony, that’s who!

Anthony was found not guilty this Tuesday of charges related to the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, whose body was found six months after estimated death and in restraints, indicating homicide. In layman’s terms, she was only found guilty of misleading the police and will be released in the next week due to time she has already served.

The trial started three years ago and has captivated the nation as it played out on national television, with heavy attention given to the defendant’s well-documented partying between the death of her daughter and the discovery of her remains.

What are your thoughts about each moment, leading up to this controversial conclusion which was broadcast on national television? Was it a fair? Unfair?

We’ll be meeting at St. Margaret’s Episcopal at 1830 Connecticut Ave NW (enter via the Parish Office door, use the buzzer) at 8:30 Friday night and head out for food and an additional chance to argue the merits of circumstantial evidence afterward.
