First Impressions

Our Hearts Were Meant To Beat As One

Have you been invited to “hang out sometime” or even to “Netflix and chill” as the kids say? Those casual ways of asking someone to spend time with you are a sign that first dates can be really nerve-wracking.

So, this Friday, we will arm you with possible ideas for first dates, and ways to deal with any jitters. Where do you find first dates? Where do you go? What do you like to do? What are some of your usual lines of conversation? Do you awkwardly hug at the end or more? What about follow-up communication? Have you ever escaped from one through a small window?

We’ll discuss these questions and more on Friday, October 16.

Gay District meets at The DC Center, located inside the Reeves building at 2000 14th Street NW Washington, DC 20009.  Attendees will need to enter the Reeves building via the “Exit” doors on 14th Street, facing McDonald’s. We encourage attendees to bring their photo ID to gain access inside the building. If you do not have or are unable to present a photo ID, please contact the DC Center at (202) 682-2245. Afterwards, we’ll head out to one of the fine establishments on the U Street Corridor.
